The final piece in the Cartier exhibit that made me positively confident in my decision to attend, was a special order bandeau tiara made in 1923, composed of cushion-cut diamonds and mounted on platinum. This bandeau piece was created in order to signify Cartier’s rise to prominence in the 1900s as one of most famous jewelers in the world (Jewels Du Jour). As enchanting as this dazzling tiara is on its own, the creation can be undone into two separate bracelet pieces as well. Gazing upon the creativity of Cartier’s bandeau crown was simply the diamond frosting on the cake of this wondrous exhibit – an official and final diamond that truly stole my heart and made me a strong believer in the Cartier exhibit fairy tale land of jewels, princes and princesses, queens, kings, and diamonds galore. The bandeau tiara truly stole my heart at first sight of its glittering exuberance and majesty.
